Marilyn Fleming Obituary (1927

Marilyn Fleming age 85 of Blair passed away on Thursday February 21st, 2013 at Carter House in Blair. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00AM Saturday February 23rd at First United Methodist Church in Blair. Burial will follow services in the Blair Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the Church. Marilyn Fleming was born on September 24th, 1927 in Blair, Nebraska to Ralph and Dorothy (Parish) Mencke. Marilyn lived most of her life in Blair and was a graduate of Blair High School. She attended school at Dana College and Iowa State University. She was employed at Betty’s Jewelry in Blair. In June of 1950 she was united in marriage to Robert A. Fleming of Blair. To this union two children were born. Marilyn was a member of The First United Methodist Church in Blair. She enjoyed architecture and enjoyed planning the cabin in Minnesota that she and Bob built together. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her sons, Gordon Fleming and wife Cheryl of Blair, Kevin Fleming and wife Linda of Blair, grandchildren Jessica and husband Mike Langenberg of Lincoln, Nebraska, Rayna Fleming and fiancé Josh of Omaha, Bob Fleming of Omaha, Ian Fleming of Omaha, and great grandchild Ellery Langenberg. She was preceded in death by her husband Bob. Memorials may be directed to First United Methodist Church in Blair
