Mass of Christian Burial for James R. “Jake” Strong age 84 of rural Blair, Nebraska will be held Wednesday, November 13th, 2013 at 10:00AM at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair. Visitation will be held Tuesday at Campbell Aman Funeral Home with visitation from 6:00 to 8:00PM with Rosary at 6:00PM. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Blair following services. A luncheon will be served at the church following internment. Mr. Strong died November 9th 2013 at his home west of Blair. James R. “Jake” Strong was born on March 19th, 1929 in Pontiac Michigan to Charles and Doris (Storm) Strong. He is survived by his wife Mae, daughter Gwynne (Douglas) Madsen, daughter Vicky (Nick) Emory, daughter LuAnn (Anthony) Sulley, daughter Sandra Crane, daughter Pamela Ahart, daughter Debra Headley and son Kurt Strong, stepchildren Sandra Patton and Gary Bodenstedt, Sharon (David) Larson, Donald (Barbara) Rican, 25 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by son Gregg, parents Doris and Charles Strong, sisters Helen Rydbarg, Wanda Lewis, Gerrie Wolfe and brother Gene Strong.
