Passed away at home in Blair, NE. Born in Elsmore ,KS.to Martin & Zora (Peterson) Anderson. Married Howard E Smith 25 Oct 1942 in Moran, KS. Lived for many years in Emporia & Topeka, KS. and owned her own machine quilting business. Moved to Elkhorn, NE and then to Blair to live with daughter, Diane. Known to her friends and family as Hope, she is survived by her husband, Howard; son Gregory & daughter-in-law ,Trina, of Boca Raton, FL; son Alan & daughter-in-law, Louise, of Mt Eliza, Australia; daughter Anita Diane Birrell and son-in-law, James, of Blair, grandchildren Edward Smith, Kathryn Smith, Rochelle (Doug) Ryden-Campbell, Matthew Birrell; and great-granddaughters Kaylee Murdock & Shawn Campbell. Hope was preceded in death by her parents, brother Harold, and sister Joy. Memorial service to be scheduled at a future date.
