Gladys M Christoffersen Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Gladys M. Christoffersen, age 100 of Blair passed away August 20, 2018 after a brief stay in McKee Medical Center in Loveland, Colorado. Visitation will be held Saturday, September 15 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM with a remembrance service at 11:00 AM at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair, NE. A luncheon will follow at Bar 75 in Herman, NE. Private Graveside services will be held in the Blair Cemetery. Gladys was born August 1, 1918 in Washington County, to Caesar and Mary Kegler. She graduated from Blair High School. Gladys married Vernon Christoffersen on December 14, 1939. They celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary in 2009. She and Vernon farmed northwest of Blair until they retired and moved to Blair in 1976. She was a lifelong resident of Washington County until she moved to Loveland, Colorado on May 1, 2018 to live with her daughter and son-in-law, Verna and Larry Dennis. She and Vernon enjoyed many years of traveling by motorhome both with friends and their camping clubs. Playing cards was a favorite pastime along with embroidering and attending Bench Club. Gladys is survived by her daughters: Irene (Carl) Marhenke of Tekamah, NE, Verna (Larry) Dennis of Loveland, CO, Jane (Harry) Navrude of Blair, and Judy Dixon of Hastings, NE; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Vernon, sister Viola, and son-in-law Walt Dixon. Memorials may be directed to Joseph’s Coat or the family for later designation.
